Engaging Mindfulness in Psychotherapy
Part of an introductory series to the Hakomi Method

General Information

Over several decades, the Hakomi Method has innovated ways of utilizing mindfulness to illuminate how we organize ourselves at the most fundamental levels. In this one-day workshop, we will explore the advanced use of mindfulness as a therapeutic ally. We will explore how mindfulness, when held in the relational "bubble" that characterizes Hakomi, not only facilitates new levels of self-discovery, but also can open previously stuck doors to new and creative possibility.

For Whom
The workshop is open and relevant to both clinicians and the general public and serves as prerequisite hours for The Hakomi Comprehensive Training and Hakomi Professional Training.

About Hakomi
The Hakomi Method of Experiential Psychotherapy is an elegant, comprehensive and highly effective approach to human change. Hakomi combines mindfulness, the body, and present experience to access and transform deeply held, life-limiting core beliefs. For over 30 years Hakomi has pioneered and integrated the use of mindfulness in the psychodynamic process. It is backed by thousands of hours of clinical applications and research into the neurological underpinnings of mindfulness. Hakomi can be successfully applied throughout a wide range of therapeutic applications (such as individual, couples and family therapy, group work) as well as in educational settings to facilitate self-exploration and personal growth.
