The Authentic Heart
Part of an introductory series to the Hakomi Method

General Information

The experience of aliveness is associated with feeling connected to our own authentic sense of self-direction and rightness. The desire for real heartful connection eludes many of us often leading to experiences of misunderstanding, emptiness, and a diminished satisfaction in life.
The Hakomi Method of Experiential Psychotherapy offers a roadmap for deeper, more heartfelt connection, understanding, and growth. With the integrated use of mindfulness and the body, Hakomi is an elegant, comprehensive and highly effective approach to human change and development.

In this workshop you will:
* Receive an experiential overview of the Hakomi Method
* Learn skills and theory that are unique to Hakomi
* Learn the power of working with present moment live experience
* Learn about Hakomi programs and trainings

For Whom
The workshop is open and relevant to both clinicians and the general public and serves as prerequisite hours for The Hakomi Comprehensive Training and Hakomi Professional Training.

About Hakomi
The Hakomi Method of Experiential Psychotherapy is an elegant, comprehensive and highly effective approach to human change. Hakomi combines mindfulness, the body, and present experience to access and transform deeply held, life-limiting core beliefs. For over 30 years Hakomi has pioneered and integrated the use of mindfulness in the psychodynamic process. It is backed by thousands of hours of clinical applications and research into the neurological underpinnings of mindfulness. Hakomi can be successfully applied throughout a wide range of therapeutic applications (such as individual, couples and family therapy, group work) as well as in educational settings to facilitate self-exploration and personal growth.
